Information Guide for the Organisation of Migrant Communities at First and Second tier Levels
Migrant organisations in Greece that have legal, non-profit aims are able to be legally registered, in the form of an ‘association’ (‘somateio’) or ‘non-profit company’ (‘mi kerdoskopiki etairia’). They can also take the form of a ‘union’ (‘enosi’). The most common and practical form is the association. The following pages provide basic information on the establishment and operation of these various forms of organisations, as well as useful contact information for local courts and agencies responsible for overseeing associations in the regions of Attica and Central Macedonia and template documents for the operation of an association.
